Recording new beehive inspections using the BeeKeepPal apiary management software is easy. Navigate to the Inspections section of the left Sidebar Menu and expand it to view its sub-sections. Next, click on the Record New Inspection sub-section. It opens a page on which you can record a new beehive inspection. The page is titled Record Beehive Inspection. On the page, there are different input fields for varying types of data. Additionally, the process is split into segments that you go through in a progressive manner. In the first segment of recording a new beehive inspection, you select the beehive you are inspecting. You also choose whether the inspection will be detailed or a basic inspection. A basic inspection has 7 segments whereas a detailed inspection has 10 segments. Weather conditions are entered in the first segment. The field is automatically filled for you, but you can change the input data to your preference. It is advisable that you use CheckInspect tool to find out if weather conditions are suitable for a beehive inspection before you go out for the beehive inspection.
Once you have filled in the fields in the first segment of recording a new beehive inspection, click on the Next button at the bottom left area of the segment to proceed to the next segment. Repeat the process of data entry, and clicking on the Next button with each successive segment of the inspection. If you are not satisfied with any segment, use the Back button to go back to the previous segment. When you get to the last segment, enter data in the provided fields and then click on the Complete Inspection button in the bottom left area of the last segment. You then receive a notification pop-up that the inspection has been successfully recorded. If you are not satisfied with data entered for an inspection, click on the Back button at the bottom left corner of the Record Beehive Inspection page to go to the previous segment. You can go back through the segments and make any changes or additions you want. When you are satisfied, make your way to the final segment to access the Complete Inspection button.
If you decide that you do not want to record the beehive inspection, navigate away to another page or section of the Apiary Dashboard. A pop-up warning you about loss of unsaved changes is displayed at the upper end of the display screen. Click on the Ok button of the pop-up to navigate away from the Record Beehive Inspection page. If you want to remain on the page and continue recording the inspection, click on the Cancel button.
